Single and Double Sided OPP

Single and Double Sided OPP (Oriented Polypropylene)

OPP (Oriented Polypropylene) is a packaging material in which a synthetic polymer, a type of polypropylene, is used. OPP film is obtained by passing the orientation process, which is a special production process of polypropylene resin. This process allows the polypropylene molecules to be arranged unidirectionally, which increases the strength, optical properties and heat resistance of the film.

Unilateral OPP:
Single side OPP film is a packaging material that is coated with polypropylene film on only one side. The coated side is generally used to protect the content and prevent it from being affected by external factors. The other side can usually be matte or slightly sticky. Single-sided OPP films are often used for packaging for food, medicine, cosmetics and other consumer products. Single-sided OPP films are also a preferred material in printing and lamination applications.

Double-Sided OPP:
Double-sided OPP film is a packaging material coated on both sides with polypropylene film. Having the same features on both sides provides better protection against external factors. Double-sided OPP films are used to prevent products from being affected by moisture, light and oxygen. Such films are often used in food packaging, retail product packaging, labels and other industrial applications. Double-sided OPP films offer high print quality and a variety of surface properties, allowing products to be presented in a more attractive and visually appealing way.

OPP films are a widely preferred packaging material due to their advantages such as flexibility, durability, transparency, low cost, printability and wide range of uses. Single-sided or double-sided OPP films can be selected according to the packaging needs and characteristics of the products, and can be used in various industries.
